If you're looking for a huge section of Mexican food do not come here. They do different dishes that incorporate Birrieria and they do it well. I would take this restaurant over anyone in old town San Diego. This is true Mexican food in a historic neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and grab some excellent food.

It's 1:15 and we wanted something simple and easy no fancy restaurant! Windows on 2 sides and a TV with an old time move (in Spanish). Plenty of help so we din't have to wait and they were ready to take our order. Shrimp taco, Fish taco, Birria Taco! My wife ordered a shrimp and octopus cocktail! Also 2 horchatas! The Birria was good! My wife's cocktail was great.

I got up after 3hrs of sleep to take my daughter to work (Petco Park) she wanted to stop by for some coffee at her favorite place Chikita cafe. On the way to take her to work I saw this spot. I been living in area 12yrs and had seen it before but decided today would be the day I would try it. i figured if it can help a hangover, it can help work related sleep deprivation lol I dropped her off at work and came on Yelp really quick to read some reviews. First one I read caught my attention. The lady mentioned getting a taco and a quesabirria and that's exactly what I got. I placed my order to go and realized when I got home i didn't order a side of consome. My bad. I ate the taco first and I loved the tortilla. It tasted like an authentic TJ corn tortilla iykyk next, was the quesabirria. I got the flour tortilla one just like the Yelp review I read and OMG!!!!! It was 10/10 I'll definitely be back for more and I won't forget to get my cup of consome next time.

Wow! We happened upon this place, which was down the street from one of my daughter's volleyball clinics. I was already checking it out on the way to practice, and after the recommendation from a friend, we just had to try it. It's really two restaurants I believe, the one on the left being focused on seafood, and the one on the right being focused on birria. If I remember correctly, seafood items like fish tacos were also offered on the menu, but we were there for the birria. I ordered a birria taco, quesabirroa taco, and my daughter ordered two of the quesabirria tortilla tacos/quesadillas. I forget what it's called. We thoroughly enjoyed our orders. I would've been completely satisfied with my order, had I not tried my daughter's food. That one bite just blew my tacos out of the park! The next time I return it definitely have to order that. As a matter, fact, my husband insisted to bring my daughter to the the next volleyball clinic, and of course they stopped by afterward for lunch. He agreed that the quesabirrria on flour was the bomb (aging myself, I know) The horchata we ordered were also legit, and the service was friendly and attentive. We discovered that there is a location closer to our house, which we plan on checking out soon!

664 tj located in chula vista is iconic of the american made birrieria tacos. Trying to embody tijuana food in America it is located on the same street next to the public light rail. So perfect pit stop for after work food. Parking itself might be hard out front but on the side streets there are a few spots. The birrieria was very clean compared to other places I've been and it didnt't make be feel super oily about myself. Overall solid choice and place to get birrieria tacos!

The shrimp soup was delicious. Lots of shrimps and the big prawn was delicious top. Casual and quick service. Certainly authentic.
